The Solution
Nasstar migrated all TBI servers to Microsoft Azure, replacing the legacy system with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This shift enhances the user experience, providing staff with a familiar and fully managed Windows environment. By integrating with TBI’s existing Windows Autopilot setup, Nasstar has streamlined device management, making it easier to roll out new hardware and updates.
The NGMS advantage
To further reduce IT burdens, Nasstar has deployed its Next-Generation Managed Service. NGMS covers everything from user support and identity management to full monitoring and maintenance of Azure, Office 365, and endpoint security. The 24/7 service ensures seamless operations by handling patching, backups, cost optimisation, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues before they cause disruption.
Locking it down
Security remains a top priority, which is why Nasstar’s experts implemented best-practice governance through an Azure Landing Zone. To strengthen cyber defences, a Microsoft Managed Detection and Response service, backed by a dedicated security advisor from Nasstar, was also introduced.
Future-proofed infrastructure
Designed for flexibility, this solution includes one-year reserved instances for the firm’s 3E servers, keeping future options open and enabling an easy transition to a SaaS model if needed. TBI can now adapt its IT strategy without committing to unnecessary long-term costs.
